Let’s Focus on Unity, Not Division

I am deeply concerned by the divisive language being used in this election. Recently, one of my opponents referred to those of us who are running for school committee as “extremists.” Labeling concerned parents in this way is inappropriate. We should be encouraging parent engagement, not discouraging it through hurtful language.

Our schools should be a safe haven for every child, where they can learn, grow, and feel included. Suggesting that standing up for parental involvement, fiscal responsibility, and ensuring age-appropriate materials is somehow harmful undermines the real work we need to do for our students. This election isn’t about choosing sides—it’s about working together for the betterment of all students and families in North Kingstown.

I believe in solutions that respect all voices and create a positive environment where every student can succeed, regardless of their background. Let’s reject divisive rhetoric and come together to make our schools a place where everyone feels valued and heard.

We don’t need inflammatory language or polarizing statements in North Kingstown from either side. We need collaboration, transparency, and mutual respect to build a better future for our children.

I am running to bring balance and a fresh perspective to the school committee. Together, we can create schools that work for everyone.

Thank you for your support. Let’s move forward, united.

This is my mom, Maureen Roselli. She is not on social media. She is a bus monitor on Bus 15 in NK. She has been one since I was a kid and we believe this is her 39th year as a bus monitor. Prior to having children, she taught at Quidnessett, Hamilton and Forest Park. I have included an article written about her in the Providence Journal when she was 52. She is an amazing mom and I am thankful for her.

Now for my dad, Tom Roselli, who has also made significant contributions to North Kingstown. As a developer he built many houses in the Slocum area in the 80s and 90s. He even named a road after me, Pamela Court. For most of my life he has been a small business owner and taught me the value of hard work, determination, perseverance and planning. If elected I will also bring those qualities to the school committee!

I have been a 25+ year volunteer for Girl Scouts. I was a Girl Scout growing up in NK and it made a profound impact on me so I have tried to give that back. My leadership experiences started with my Girl Scout troop!
